“I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

First of all, I was there for my cousin's wedding and i was in the bridal party. My room had to be switched 3 times due to 1. the fact that my reservation was entered as a smoking room (it was not, i even had the email proof on my phone), and 2. Our new non-smoking room was filled with the smell of pot when we returned from the wedding. The staff was accommodating at first, but then the clerk purposefully locked us out of our new room when he found a "used linen" in our old room that we switched out of. For 45 minutes we went around with this guy begging him to let us in our room, it was about 2am at this point and we were tired. Really, i wanted to get my keys and drive home because the place was so gross. We were accused of smoking pot in the room "because my original receipt requested a smoking room" and told we couldnt be trusted because we used a linen in our first room and now the room couldnt be immediately rented to someone else. He asked for a credit card in order to let us back in our room. He also suggested that we wait in the lobby all night for the manager to come in at 8 in the morning. it was completely ridiculous. He finally pushed me to my breaking point and i cried, telling him i have never been so horribly treated in my entire life. after realizing how upset he was making me he pushed the key in front of me and said "OK, you apologized, you can go to your room now." I was appalled and fuming. Just dont stay here, the cheap rooms arent worth it.

The room was booked as a smoking room, confirmed by 3rd party booking. This guest fails to state that the room charge was refunded. Unfortunately there was more to this incident than mentioned.

“TRAVELERS BEWARE:(”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

We were in town for a softball tourney at Berliner Park and our whole team was there. First, the hotel was a truck stop and secondly it was xtremely dirty. There was garbage all over in the front of the hotel. The hotel staff were all Indians and couldnt understand anything they were saying. we think they all live there. the lady at the front desk was very rude and mean. The room was very dirty and there were holes in the walls. the beds were small and very hard and felt like you are laying on a cement floor. the sheets and pillowcases were all stained. We needed bath towels and the front desk said "No, i dont have noone else here with me to get you any." The air conditioner did not work.It was just the most horrible experience ever. If you are looking for a nice hotel, dont stay there. For a little more $$ there are alot of other hotels nearby. We are not picky people but this was just plain bad........

“Close to Berliner Park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2011

The rooms with double beds are very large. Breakfast was fine. It would have been nice if the air could have at least been on low when we got in the room, my guess is the room was at least 95 degrees when we walked in. My biggest problem was the language barrier. The front desk staff was from india (I believe that is where they were from). On the phone when I called they gave us a price that we thought we understood to be one price. As we checked in a different person was behind the desk and they gave us a higher price. We explained what we were quoted over the phone and got that rate. The next day we got back to the room to find out our key did not work. When we went to get new keys we were told that they never quoted that price and we owed them an additional $75. I have no issue with people from other countries working in America, I do however have a problem when their language barrier does not cause issues like this.

I would stay at the hotel again but I would request to deal with an english speaking person to confirm the room rate I got was correct.

We did have a police officer put a note on our vehicle to remind us to make sure to take our GPS system down at night when we parked. Made me feel better knowing the police patrolled the parking lot.

“It was okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2011

The hotel was decent. I have stayed there two times. The beds were soft but not very large and i checked for any type of bed bugs there was none. However they were not the cleanest rooms. I'd give the service a three. The lady was nice but she didn't talk much and she stared us down as if we were going to steal something. The nice thing was it's right next to a ton of shopping centers. The bathroom was small but maybe some bigger towels perhaps! Other than them reasons it was decent but not the best hotel. After going to Kings Island we stopped here to stay.

“Do not stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2009

This hotel advertised a pool, but it was closed the day we stayed. Our room was missing the yellow pages. We were told by the staff "we could come to the front desk and use the yellow pages there." When I walked the four corridors to get to the desk, she stated I could take the yellow pages back to the room and keep it there. She never offered to bring me the book. We had a problem with the tv displaying the channel in the upper right hand corner at all times. It never disappeared. We were told by the (english as a second language) staff that channel information remains on all tvs in the hotel, does not disappear like it would at home because according to law, it needs to be visible for handicapped persons. It seemed like a menu setting to us. The mirror on the bathroom door and in the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was a cigarette burn on our sheet in our non-smoking room. We got the impression the hotel had been vacant for sometime and was recently reopened. For $83 (which was not the cheapest hotel in the area), I guess we got what we paid for.
