The Pheasant is a glorious destination after making our way through seemingly empty scenery. Suddenly you come across this perfeclty placed inn set in surrouindings that can make even a good mood better. The rooms are large and welcoming; the pub feels just as it should and has a range of good beers. Dinner was meticulously prepared from great ingredients and the serving staff were attentive. Breakfast was brilliant even if so tempting it was difficult not to eat too much. A place we shall always try to stay when we are headed that way again.

Serves very good food and beer!! It's a traditional country pub serving food, very busy during summer months, but well worth a visit. I have been calling in whenever I am in the area (lamb and gamon excellent!!)

A wonderfull Inn in a fantastic location. Great accommodation clean and comfortable, good simple food well prepared and presented. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Local beers including Timothy Taylors on draught. Log fires and lots of beams

Stayed for 2nights b&b early Sep as we were taking part in the Kielder 100 mtn bike race. Very welcoming staff on arrival, room was well up to scratch and the shower was roasting hot. The food was excellent, as was the real ale. Nothing was too much trouble, would stay again if up that neck of the woods. A very good real world pub.
