“Superb; warm and friendly.”

We were made to feel very welcome here by Joan and Andrew and their lovely little daughter. We were only there for two days but felt welcomed into the family. Rooms were clean, nicely decorated in modern style. Lovely en suites. The breakfast was delicious and Joan remembered after only one day what each of us would like on our cooked breakfast. There was also a fridge for guest use on the landing by our room and Joan provided fresh milk for the tea we made in the room. It was warm (important in January). Andrew runs boat trips to the Farne Islands and took us out on our first morning. It was absolutely amazing; he and his guide knew so much about the islands and all the birds. Definitely recomment people to stay here.

“Perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

We enjoyed our stay so much because of the relaxed atmosphere, great welcome and comfortable clean surroundings. This was our first trip taking Emma our dog and staying at this B and B made it easy for us. The breakfast is definitely worth a mention, really delicious and plenty of it too! The locality is brilliant for dog walking and sight seeing, and the hosts are fab!

“Give her more stars!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2010

The Tourist Board rating is only 3 stars, it deserves 4. This B&B is twice as good as a 5 star silver guest house in the next village which we stayed in last year! The room is comfortable but a bit plain. There is a nice lounge downstairs. The breakfasts are excellent, top quality ingredients, expertly cooked and generous portions. The proprietors are very helpful and friendly. It was like staying with friends.

What a find, a great B&B, host Joan cooked the most fantastic breakfast, and the room was light, airy and comfortable. The recommendation that we visit the local pub was true, great food and drinks, and lots of memorabilia of the area. Could easily have stayed longer, would highly recommend.
