“Disregard the review dated 02 September 2011”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

After reading the review dated 2nd September 2011 I feel compelled to write another review on Bamburgh View. Myself and my husband have been staying on Holy Island for the last 10 years with quite a few of your stays being at Bamburgh View.
If you want lovely surroundings, a friendly welcome, a full belly breakfast and a good cuppa, this is the place to stay.
Please don't listen to grumpy people that feel they have to spend their life moaning and putting excellent establishments down!!

We will continue to book with Carol and Jamie and also continue to recommend them to everyone we know.

Thanks
Julie & Paul

“Stop Over Treat”

We booked Bamburgh view as a one night stop over on our way to Edinburgh and also to try another place on Holy Island. We were not disappointed, the room was comfortable and in a good location between the Ship and the Crown and Anchor to choose for our evening meal.
We had a good nights sleep followed by a relaxed breakfast, which was very good and was sufficient to keep us going until we arrived in Edinburgh late afternoon after a journey through the borders. All in all a very good B & B, we shall undoubtedly return

“Great B&B”

We decided to book Bamburgh View as it was the highest rated B&B on TripAdvisor! We got to the island just after dark and got a bit lost trying to find it, luckily we stopped to ask for directions and ended up talking to a couple staying at the same place! Once we arrived, Carole was very welcoming and friendly, after finding out we hadn't eaten supper she phoned to get us a table at a nearby restaurant before it closed (the restaurants there tend to close by around 8 so try to get there before that!) which was great! It's nice that the town is quite small so everything is within a short walk - parking is a bit tight though! The room and bathroom were fantastic, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great! In the morning we opened the curtains and could see Bamburgh Castle off in the distance. Breakfast was fantastic as well. Definitely earns the top spot!

“Overnight stay.”

My wife and I stayed at the Bamburgh View B&B to experience being benighted on Holy Island.
Bamburgh View is an old stone terraced cottage, inside it is modern, well appointed and spotlessly clean.
On suite facilities are first class and our room had a distant view of Bamburgh Castle.
The owners are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with regard to local facilities; they even booked us into most likely the best restaurant on the island.
The breakfast choice was extensive with quality produce used.
Car parking may be difficult when the day trippers are on the island (though I found one within 10 yards of the B&B) there are plenty of places to park once the day visitors leave the island.
All in all this was a very pleasant place to stay and would say it will meet most peoples needs.

“Wonderful!”

We've just spend a weekend at Bamburgh View; and it was truly excellent.

My husband and I stay in hotels and B&B’s 1 or 2 nights every week, and we see the very best to the “oh so poor”. This definitely fits into the best.

The rooms are beautifully presented, clean and with lots of personal touches. They are a good size, with either a view towards the sea and the castle or facing onto one of the quaint roads that are throughout Lindisfarne.

The breakfast was gorgeous, locally produced and set us up for a long walk in the sunshine.

The couple that own Bamburgh View are keen to help and answer any questions about the island, its history, living there today or where to visit.

Definitely one to recommend!

Room Tip: Ground floor facing the road is a very good size with a sofa. Ground floor facing the sea and castl...
