I was on vacation in the UK and found this gem. Great rooms and the customer service
was fantastic.
It's a MUST to eat here. The food was soooooo good!!!!
I know this review is short but I have nothing bad to say
and I would stay here again if I have the chance.
If you want that British country feel then this is your choice.

Stayed here for one night to celebrate our First Wedding Anniversary. We stayed in a courtyard room which was separate from the main building, but a hop away. Got a fab deal on late rooms for this and decided to book at last minute. Hotel very grand even though its not a huge establishment. Gorgeous grounds, be perfect for some lovely wedding photos. We felt like we had arrived at a very exclusive place when we saw the cars outside, BMW's, Audi's, Mercedes and other top of the range cars. My hubby wanted to park our Focus round the back lol....Staff were all very nice and friendly and always had a smile. Our room was nice and clean although some parts in need of a little tlc. Electric sockets very loose and situated in damp areas. But the bathroom was very modern and the bed comfy. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant and the waiting staff again were lovely. We did feel that some background music at even a low level may have been nice as it was so quiet, every table there was very little talking, as you could hear everyone if you did. This did make it feel a little unwelcoming sadly. Overall it was a very nice night away for us to commemorate our first year being married. We did feel uncomfortable at times with the quiet but that is just our personal choice, it did seem to be more aimed at more mature couples looking for a nice peaceful, reserved hotel, which it was. Beautiful hotel but just too quiet for us. Thank you to all the staff though, they work very hard and were lovely.

Booked this hotel based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were disappointed as we found it stark and unwelcoming. Although the grounds are large there are no flower beds or outside tables and chairs to brighten it up. The Reception area is dark and gloomy. We were shown to a room at the very top in the attics, which involved climbing lots of stairs and which I found to be claustrophic. I asked if we could have another room lower down in the hotel. They decided to put us in the Garden Room, a kind of annex nearby.

The room was ok, but cheaply furnished and rather old-fashioned. We found the food good, but again the menu was a bit old-fashioned.

We went here for a friends wedding and had a fantastic time. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are luxurious and views are stunning. Overall a great experience.
