Just returned from 1 night in the wooden wigwam ....and we loved it .....the on site facilities were excellent ......shower block great with lots of hot water & kitchen block with all requirements ....worth a visit ......the weather was lovely .....however when it turned cold the heater inside made the wigwam very cosy ......you will not be disappointed! We had our 2 small dogs with us too and there are lots of walks close by!

Room Tip: pre-order a fire pit on your arrival!

“Great Place, lots of fun”

I have just arrived back from this site and i must say that it was very good indeed, the wooden Wig wams (which are more like wooden tents) are very comfortable, warm and clean, thye come with a Heater, Fridge and plug sockets (Very useful for charging up electronic gadgets), the electricity is by meter and good value for money, we used the BBQ hut and i must recommend it, great place to eat and spend an evening with friends, the rest of the site was very good, the toilet block was clean (much better than many pub toilets i have been in, the cafe was very nice and served a good breakfast at a reasonable price, all in all a great place to go if you like camping but want a bit more comfort, i do rate this very highly.

“Will Defintely Go Back Again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2010

My boyfriend and I booked in for a two night stay at the beginning of November. We had the entire site to ourselves which was brilliant! I would imagine that the place will be just as great in peak season.
I can't rate this place highly enough. The wig-wam was very clean and comfortable. There was a good sized fridge (handy if there's quite a few people staying in the same wig-wam) and a heater than runs off a card-meter. Even though it was cold and very windy outside, we were snug as bugs in our wig-wam as the little heater kept the place really warm (so warm we had to turn it off a couple of times). We put £3 in the meter upon arrival and when we left there was still £1.60 left and this was after we'd had the heater on all through the night on both nights of our stay.
The toilets and showers were kept spotlessy clean; plenty of hot water. The kitchen, which we didn't use as we ate out before returning to the site, was very well equipped; cooker, washing machine, dryer (?), microwave and fully equipped with kitchen utensils. There were also kitchen tables, and sofas should anyone choose to watch a bit of TV.
We had breakfast in the site's cafe/restaurant and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly; one lady even loaned me a pair of her gloves until the next day!
I think in the summer this would be a great place as they have Swedish BBQ huts, but each wigwam also has it's own picnic table and you can use disposable BBQs if you wish. You can also arrange for your own, personal campfire; we did book one but unfortunately, due to the time of year it just wasn't possible.
I would defintely recommend this place to anyone who's used to the camping lifestyle.

“Absolutely fantastic experience, great fun & fab facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2010

Having just returned from three days at potadoodledo I am genuinely shocked this hasn't been given five stars by all other reviewers!
Booked a short stay after hearing about wigwam holidays from a friend and came across potadoodledo on the wigwamholidays.com site. I just thought the idea of spending time in a wooden wigwam would be fun! As did my ten year old son! So we booked two nights.
We found the site easily, we found the instructions and help from staff on arrival was great and when we got into the wigwam we were delighted! It was spacious and clean, with a spotless fridge in the wigwam, power points, electric lights and a heater. The electric meter had credit from the previous guests and the £1.56 didn't need topped up after three days! In fact it had more than a pound on it when we left! I was genuinely pleased with the good value of this.
While there we used the showers, bathroom and cooking facilities. For a 'camping barn' I thought the facilities were very clean and the kitchen very well kitted out. There were plentiful amounts of crockery, pots, pans, two microwaves, cooker, kettles etc etc. As there web site states you need to take washing up items (incl tea towels) and the majority had read these instructions! Everyone seemed to respect the facilities.
The grounds were very well kept and lots of space for the kids to safely explore. There is a play area with swings on site, the art barn (which we didn't use... Only as my son was too busy with other things) and also the opportunity for quad biking. My son went out on the quads and had a fantastic time, thought the teacher was great and came back very proud of himself!
The farm is a working farm and this enhances the trip, it doesn't compromise it. Great to show my son some basics of farm life, and to be able to explain in real terms where food comes from.
My only regret was not booking a fire for our arrival. This is an option and when I saw other people sitting around their fires I wish I had done so. Also there is the option to hire a BBQ hut, which for big groups or bad weather looked fab.
All in all a fab trip, and The longest I've ever written. I couldn't rate this experience more highly!
Oh, and if your interested it rained for 24 hours while we were there and it didn't matter a bit, we had packed wellies and raincoats... It is England in august after all!
