“Lovely break in a great spot”

Booked last minute for a family short break. Ideal location - 10 min drive from Bamburgh/Seahouses. Village good for a base, with co-op three pubs/ restaurants and a coffee shop in village. Fish and Chip shop also, but was closed when we wanted to go!

Cottage was great, clean and comfortable and we made good use of patio and barbeque - would definitely go back and have recommended already!

“great location and mostly good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 April 2010

We stayed at the self catering cottage called Lindesfarne, at Bluebell farm and was very pleased with the village, its location, the area, and had an excellent time. The cottage was decent enough with just the right amount of space and was much better value than most in the area. Because it was good value we didn't mind too much that the mattresses were uncomfortable at first (we got used to them-the fresh sea air made us tired,) the kids bunkbed room was excellent. The whole place felt like it could do with a bit of tender loving care, and a proper spring clean, and the decor was a bit dull but maybe this was also because it was just after the winter and we got the impression no one much had been around. We took a look at the bunkhouse when we were there and would definitely recommend it for budget accommodation, it was compact with a living area and well equipped kitchen.

“Great Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2009

If you want a cheap and friendly caravan / campsite then this is perfect. Great location if you don't know where Belford is and check out Ross Sands which is only 5 mins away in a car. Bit of a walk when you get there but well worth it. Good for power kiting.

Fresh fish and chip shop on corner of the entrance into the farm and a small co - op opposite ( fresh bread in mornings ) 2 pubs within less than 5 mins.

Fully recommend it for a relaxing break.
