Arrived in Bamburgh with no reservation - got the last room at Hillcrest House. Made extremely welcome, the family room not available but it was no bother puting in an extra bed for our 8 year old in the spacious double - with very large en suite. Hosts great, house spotless, breakfast delicous. When we asked if there was anywhere we could have dinner the owner showed us the menu for their family run restaurant - another great find just 1 minute down the road!! {He was totally upfront telling us it was his restaurant}. We were lucky to get a table as very busy - on a Wednesday night. Malcolm appeared to have dashed from the B & B to the kitchen at the resturant!! One of the best meals we had all holiday - my risotto so yummy my son wanted to do a swap - his chicken was delicious too! Will definately be back to the both the Hillcrest and their restaurant!

We were given a very homely welcome to Malcolm's B&B, and provided with plenty of info about what to see in the area. Excellent Northumbrian sausages for breakfast too!

A pleasant and enjoyable accommodation in Bamburgh. A good home cooked English breakfast. Highly recommended.

It would be hard––not to say impossible––to top Hillcrest House. The rooms are spotless, bright and comfortable. The Hillcrest's owners Malcolm and Linda are absolutely lovely and the breakfasts are superb. There was a snowstorm during our stay, and so that we wouldn't miss our train Malcolm and Linda drove us all the way to Newcastle (50 miles!). First-rate in every respect. Highly recommended.

The perfect place to stay in Bamburgh. Malcom and Linda are wonderful hosts. Judith had come in to help with breakfasts, because Linda was not too well when we stayed, and she too was fantastic. The house is immaculate and Linda and Malcolm provide a very warm and friendly welcome. We had taken our family with us promising them a lovely guest house to stay in. They were not disappointed. Excellent value for money.
