My husband and I stayed here in 2009 for a week. We had a lovely stay the owners were very friendly and helful. When we arrived they were just on their way out, but good for them they too need to get away sometimes. Their daughter looked after us and cooked us breakfast the following morning and she did a really good job and was a lovely young woman.
We loved the house and its charm we didn't mind the antique furniture - it went with the house. We also loved the fact it was a family home and we liked to see the young people who lived there moving around the house and out in the garden. Being animal lovers it was a delight to meet the cats in the hall and on the stairs we even liked to encourage them into our bedroom. The breakfast was brilliant and over the course of the week I tried all the choices.
Our room was huge also the bathroom, the bed was big and comfortable. We had a brilliant stay and if we ever get up that way again I would certainly stay again. I would just say that if you do not like old buildings and furniture then get yourself booked into a Premier Inn.
