“Very Satisfied Customer”

My husband and I stayed here in 2009 for a week. We had a lovely stay the owners were very friendly and helful. When we arrived they were just on their way out, but good for them they too need to get away sometimes. Their daughter looked after us and cooked us breakfast the following morning and she did a really good job and was a lovely young woman.

We loved the house and its charm we didn't mind the antique furniture - it went with the house. We also loved the fact it was a family home and we liked to see the young people who lived there moving around the house and out in the garden. Being animal lovers it was a delight to meet the cats in the hall and on the stairs we even liked to encourage them into our bedroom. The breakfast was brilliant and over the course of the week I tried all the choices.
Our room was huge also the bathroom, the bed was big and comfortable. We had a brilliant stay and if we ever get up that way again I would certainly stay again. I would just say that if you do not like old buildings and furniture then get yourself booked into a Premier Inn.

Room Tip: The large room which is advertised on the website

Welcoming hosts and cats, a lovely building, delicious breakfasts with the best coffee. The walk along the beach to Bamburgh & Seahouses is a great way to spend a day; the wet and windier the better. The best place we've stayed in a long time.

Room Tip: The kingsize with the bay window overlooks the sea.

“Can't wait to go back!”

We absolutely loved Budle Hall and our hosts. It has a sort of faded, old gentry feel to the place with large rooms, creaky floors, comfy beds, and lovely breakfasts! I agree with other reviewers that suggested you try the kippers (but bring your appetite, they're big) and also about the faint smell of smoke at times, and the friendly, family cat. Great location between Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle. If you're not too fussy about issues like carpet and smoke, you will love Budle Hall!

Room Tip: The twin room was large and airy with brand new fluffy mattresses, and a private bath down the hall.

We stayed at Budle Hall over August bank holiday weekend in a fantastically comfortable room. The estate is incredible and only outclassed by the friendliness of the host family. It's a home away from home whilst being near the stunning Bamburgh with its beaches and castles. Wonderful stay, would highly recommend Budle Hall to everyone!
