We have just returned from a weekend break in Northumberland and booked the Castleview based on the excellent review we had seen. We were not disappointed! The owners were very friendly and went out of there way to make sure we knew all the attractions in the area. The B and B is centrally loacted but still has that country feel. We got to stay in a fab four poster bed with room views overlooking in to the castle. Add to this that the breakfast put some 5 star hotels to shame and it's fair to say a lovely weekend was enjoyed by both me and my husband.

Had a fab weekend away in Alnwick, a good location to explore nearby castles and coast villages in Northumberland. Castleview is just across from the Castle and gardens in Alnwick and a stone throw from the restaurants and bars. The room was immaculate, with everything that you needed and decorated beautifully. The ensuite was much bigger than average, with a big walk in shower and mirror. The hosts were wonderful, very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was very nice, with a choice of cereals and fresh fruit or a very tasty cooked full english. For dinner try Caffe Tirreno in town, don't get put off by the decor, the food is FANTASTIC! you can't book though, so make sure you get there early.

We have just returned from a 2 day break in Alnwick. How lucky we were to find Castle View. Just across the road from Alnwick Castle and a 5min walk from the gardens. Linda and Steve were the perfect hosts. We were in the Duke's room. A very comfortable room with a four poster bed. It had tea and coffee making facilities and a welcome jar of buscuits to indulge in. Also a bottle of water. The breakfast was very good. Freshly prepared fruit salad, yoghurt and a choice of cereal followed by a choice of cooked breakfast with toast. tea/coffee. Just the right start to the day.
This is a lovely area to explore and we would highly recommend Castle View.

A wonderful B&B located in the heart of Alnwick and within easy reach of many tourist attractions in the area.
From the moment of arrival we were made to feel very welcome and the room we were given was of exceptional standards for a B&B. I have stayed in hotels all over the UK & Europe and there are few that can match the sumptuous nature of this little B&B.
Attention to detail is great, from the fresh milk for a cup of tea, to the shampoo and gorgeous shower gel provided in the ensuite bathroom.
Breakfast was fantastic with cereal, a gorgeous bowl of freshly prepared fruit salad, fresh yoghurt, toast or your choice of a cooked breakfast. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the owners of Castleview.
I would highly recommend anyone to stay here and sample the wonderful hospitality of a truly superb B&B.
