We cannot fault Middle Croft... and I am very fussy about where we stay!

Gavin and Lorna made us feel as though we had been invited into the home of friends, even taking the trouble to learn our first names and introduce us to other guests. They provided spotlessly clean, cosy accomodation and extremely friendly, yet competent and unobtrusive service.

There were many subtle extra touches that made Middle Croft a joy. We don't hesitate to recommend it and sincerely hope to return.

Middle Croft Bed & Breakfast is a perfect spot to explore north Northumberland from. It's located in a small quiet village called South Charlton, six miles north of Alnwick, and a short distance from many local attractions. The hosts Gavin and Lorna are fantastic! They are extremely helpful and very knowledgable about the area, since the were born and raised in the area. The rooms are massive and comfortable, and the breakfasts include the freshest fruit we've had at a B&B. And they cater to vegetarians. If you are planning to visit Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Howick, and the great beaches in the area, this is perfect place to do it from.
