We were lucky enough to stay with Dean at Cheviot View during mid November this year (2011). If it’s your intention to visit this part of the world I can’t imagine anywhere better to stay. This is a stunning, traditional stone-based building which is maintained to the highest standard. We had a beautiful twin bedded room with ensuite, the beds were extremely comfortable providing an excellent night’s sleep after taking in the breathtaking scenery and east coast sea air.
Dean is familiar with all the best places to visit, both those regarded as for tourists and also some hidden gems and he is happy to advise on planning your stay. A unique aspect to this B and B is his collection of birds. These are fascinating whether you wish to simply admire them or learn more about them from the their owner.
We were provided with an excellent full english. The description on the website is exactly what you get,
Powburn itself is an enchanting quiet spot and ‘Cheviot view’ has a pub almost on the doorstep. Well worth a vist and a return, Cheviot View is definitely value for money.
