We received excellent service, we too only stayed for lunch but the manager and staff could not do enough for us. We had a bar meal but it was a good portion and very nice. I would recomment this place for meals and would stay there too, its in a prime location in the centre of Alnwick opposite the tourist information centre

We were given a great welcome by the staff although we were not staying at the hotel. Table ready for us (eight people) and asked what we required immediately. Food excellent, well presented, hot and fresh. The staff and manager could not do enough for us. Excellently priced. No complaints whatsoever.

me & my wife went to Alnwick to look round the castle.we were told about the queens head by our friends who had been there.we had dinner there i had the mixed grill & i've got to say it was one of the best i've had in a long time.the cost of the mix grill was very under priced for what you get so its win,win all the way.

I stayed at this hotel with my partner for a weekend treat. We thought the accommodation beautiful, bed most comfortable and all areas spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The full english breakfasts we opted for were delicious but there was also plenty of other breakfast options to choose from for the more healthy food opting folk . We did not dine in the hotel in the afternoon or evenings as we wanted to explore the whole of the Alnwick area and all it had to offer but at the end of the two evenings were happy to close the nights in the hotel bar. A very enjoyable stay.
