Well I really cannot stay away from Redfoot Lea and the wonderful Philly - as I type out this review I have already booked in for another visit. For me Redfoot Lea is the perfect B+B accomodation, beautifully designed yet practical, a warm hostess yet not intrusive (definitely ask Philly for dinner recommnedations, she knows the local area extremely well). The location is very good for getting into Alnick and the beautiful surrounding areas. You cannot fail to relax and feel happy in such a place. Have I mentioned the breakfasts? Delicious, varied, superb quality ingredients...just hard to decide what to have. Thorough and whole hearted recommendation, again!

I booked Redfoot Lea Bed and Breakfast after a previous stay and once again was not disappointed. Philly is such a warm hostess making you feel so welcome. The cleanliness and quality of the property is exceptional and you truly feel that you have arrived home. I could not recommend this property enough and my family travelling with me rated everywhere else they stayed compared to this. Nowhere came close! If only there was a Redfoot Lea Bed and Breakfast in every village and city in England, Philly would earn a fortune telling others how to do it.

Only wish we'd been able to stay more than the one night we did here! As most reviews already state, Philippa and Andrew are amazing hosts, and make you feel as if you'd known them for years! Their home is exquisite, relaxing too, yet has that very much lived-in atmosphere all around it. As for food - amazing, fresh and really tasty. If you haven't yet had the opportunity of a stay at Redfoot Lea, you must...you need to experience it for yourself. Check out their website for much more detail of this B&B / self-catering gem! Oh, and Alnwick is a gorgoeus place too to explore :-)

We don't stay at b&Bs often but Redfoot Lea could change all that. Phylli and Andrew gave us such a warm welcome to their beautiful home, a stunning barn conversion in local stone. The room was very comfortable , in a contemporary/classic design with great attention to detail. we were offered a glass of wine the evening we arrived (two in fact) and Phylli made all the arrangements for taxis to and from the party we were attending. Breakfast in the elegant large dining room with the other guests was delicious and nicely presented. I can't recommend Redfoot Lea highly enough for a visit to nearby Alnwick and the Northumberland coast.
