“The Most Relaxing 3 days ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Absolutely exquisite surroundings, beautiful room (Cheviot Suite), peace and tranquility plus a terrific breakfast. Linen tablecloths and napkins do it every time for me and Chatton Park didn't fail me. The owners were discreet throughout our stay only appearing at breakfast. I cannot praise Chatton Park enough. We have travelled all over the world and to find the most beautiful place ever just 2 hours from where we live is such a bonus.
It is obvious that the owners invest a lot of time and effort in making Chatton Park the perfect haven and my thanks to them for such a perfect time.

Room Tip: All four rooms are beautiful - take your pick!

“Total relaxation in perfect sorroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

We only stayed for one night, personally I wish it had been more, the finish of the rooms is of the highest order, a very relaxed and peaceful place. All rooms have BOSE radios, although the TV reception isn't the greatest.
Breakfast is epic, if you order porridge make sure you are HUNGRY!
If you want a high quality B&B experience this is it. I am sure we will return.

“Great B&B in the country”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

Terrific B&B. Only four rooms, two of which are suites, all upstairs. We had the Cheviot suite because it has a nice shower (no bathtub). Nice bedroom woith extrememly comfortable, huge king bed and large wardrobes. Large sitting room with one wall book-lined, two-person couch, coffee table, large chair, small desk and chair. Nice view of green grounds. Very efficient electric heating supplemented if necessary by centrally controlled radiator heat. Separate toilet room. Host couple Michelle and Paul top-notch, helpful but unobtrusive. Excellent breakfast.

Have to drive 1-8 miles for dinner. The local Chatton pub is "not flash" but adequate. Apple Inn in Lucker is quite nice with very good food. White Swan Inn in Warrenford is excellent, both the place and the outstanding food. We didn't like the Milan Italian restaurant in Wooler; noisy, crowded, food mediocre at best although clearly popular with the locals.

“quiet and peacefull...very!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

Its been three years since our last visit and I had forgotten just how quiet and peacefull the place is. We sat and had a relaxing glass of wine in the gardens listening to the birds singing and watching rabbits run around over by the tennis courts, it was heaven, a million miles away from our normal daily routine.
The owners could not have been more charming and helpfull and recommended some new things to see and do that we hadn't done before.
Even though the place is spotlessly clean we felt like it was a home from home for a few days and it was ours to do as we liked.
Thank you, we will be back but we won't leave it three years next time!

Room Tip: All the rooms are superb

“Simply The Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

We stayed in Chatton Park House with my sister and brother in law for a weekend and have to say that we couldn't believe our eyes. We had obviously seen the website and expected to stay in a huge country house with lovely bedrooms and good bathroom facilities but Michelle and Paul take bed and breakfast accommodation to a totally new level. The house has a quiet understated elegance that wraps itself around you the minute you walk through the door. We were met by Michelle and taken into the lounge with a lovely tray of tea and home made cake. Our bedrooms were ready and waiting for us, but we sat a while, relaxing after the long journey, drinking in the tranquility of this amazing room. The bedrooms are huge, lavish affairs with no expense spared on comfort and the bathrooms are fabulous. After a night in the local pub for dinner (taken and returned in a very friendly local taxi) we relaxed in the lovely lounge again with a night cap before retiring to one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

Breakfast the next day was another revelation. Served in an intimate dining room, with classical music playing quietly in the background, the food was fantastic, a true Northumbrian affair. Nothing is too much trouble for Paul, he is in his element when faced with a hungry guest.

We really can't wait to go back to Chatton House, thinking it would be lovely to see the two enormous log fires lit in that beautiful lounge has us planning maybe a winter visit. Whenever we go back, it can't be soon enough.

Room Tip: If you want even more space to relax, go for the Chatton Suite, it has it's own little private l...
