The house is located on a quiet side road with plenty of off road car parking and lovely grounds, about a fifteen minute walk from Alnwick centre and close to the castle and gardens. We had a 2 night stay in the Oriental Room over the new year. A warm welcome from hosts Bruce and Jeanette who were extremely knowledgeable with regard to local attractions, walks and places to visit. The room was spacious with en suite bath/shower with views over the garden and even had a walk in wardrobe to my wife's delight. Lots of complimentary extras in the room which were a nice touch. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, service was first rate. We would not hesitate in recommending this extremely comfortable, luxurious bed and breakfast in a good location.

Our first stay at West Acres and it won't be our last. Jeanette and Bruce truly deliver a warm welcome, great hospitality, fantastic breakfasts and very high levels of comfort within their beautiful home. I am a seasoned business traveller and my wife and I use B&B's fairly regularly, but West Acres tops them all in terms of quality and experience. Nothing is too much trouble and a small problem with the shower in our room (the luxurious Oriental room) was quickly sorted. The lovely town of Alnwick is packed with interesting shops and a wide range of eateries, with many personally recommended by our hosts through their own experience. We went with their suggestions on both nights of our stay and were absolutely delighted with our meals and the friendliness we encountered. An excellent 5 * B&B in a lovely town (Alnwick), close to fine countryside and a beautiful coast line. Jeanette and Bruce are lovely hosts, welcoming, very friendly, and efficient so it all works really well. Everything was just right from the initial contact, to the welcome on arrival and right through our two day visit. Will go back when next in Northumberland
