“Just what you'd expect from a travelodge”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2010

As travelodges go this one is a bit dated and could do with a bit of a re-vamp but no complaints-the guy behind reception was friendly enough and we had a quick and efficient check in; there was plenty of parking and it is free so thats always good; there is a 'buddies diner USA' just next to it which we didnt go to but was good to know there was somewhere nearby to get a meal, there were also some pubs just a short drive away. It was quite awkward to find though but that may be our satnav's fault more than anything but if you are coming from the opposite side to the hotel you have to go quite a way down the dual carriageway before you can find a place to turn around. All in all, had a good night's sleep in a clean room and there was plenty of hot water for a shower so it did the job for us.

“Clean and generally fine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2010

Stayed 2 nights and overall there were no major problems. The lodge is a bit out of the way but is close to a main trunk road. This means it is easy to access (at least from the eastbound carriageway, but westbound you have to go 4 miles to the next junction and do a U-turn) but rooms facing the road will be noisy if windows are open. Our room was clean but the bed was a bit too soft. There is Wi-fi but you have to pay for it. All in all it was good vale basic accommodation. A great cooked breakfast can be had at Tesco, Wellinborough (5 miles away) for only £4.

“Pleasant Lodge if a little dated,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2010

Travel lodge standard style rooms a little tired and dated.
Rooms and bathroom were both very clean
On the eastbound A45 has easy (approx 1 mile from junction) access from both sides of carriageway
What sets this lodge apart (Excluding its convenience to our friends) is the extremely pleasant and helpful staff
on site Buddies (see earlier review and Garage (24hrs)
nearby Pizza Hut, KFC Waitrose etc

“Does exactly what is says on the tin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2009

Stayed here 31/10 for one night after a day out at Santa Pod. I think some of the previous reviewers were expecting a little much frankly- after all this is a TRAVELODGE and not the Hilton, ie its cheap, clean and basic. Most people will never pay the full rate but even at the £29 we paid we thought it was decent value - Room was warm and very clean. Reception very helpful. Tea coffee facilities. Petrol station has fresh milk if you dont like those small cartons of UHT. Place was suprisingly quiet considering it's close to the main road. If you dont fancy the American Grill there's a decent McDonalds just about 3 miles east right on the A45. I rather stupidly managed to leave a Breitling watch in the room when we left and my first thought on realising it the day after we got home was that I'd not be seeing that again. However rang the hotel and they had it recorded in the lost property register and placed securely in the safe. I was amazed you simply dont expect that kind of honesty this day and age and was very grateful to get it back today even if it meant another long drive back.
