Went to a Christmas event here and stayed over as part of a larger group staying in 5 rooms. We booked at a cheaper rate as part of the Christmas event package, so bear in mind that my review is based on a lower room rate than average.
The good:
Lovely Pool
Lovely Receptionists
Comfy, clean and large rooms with use of bathrobes
Thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas event we attended, however the dancefloor was a too small for the size of the function room and was cramped and uncomfortable
Gorgeous breakfast that was included in our room rate, wouldn't have said it was worth the extra charge
The Bad:
Bar staff were miserable and seemed put out that we wanted to order food and drinks!
Slow service in the bar, for both drinks and food
9 of us ate in the bar, most of our meals were cold
Car Park too small - we were there at the weekend so it wasn't business/conference related but a few of us struggled to get parked.
Had to wait to be seated in the restaurant and our party was split accross 4 tables. We were a larger group (staying accross 5 rooms) but thought 2 tables would cover us all
Lots of tables needed clearing when we went down for breakfast, 9.45am on a Sunday and breakfast is served until 10.30am so this isn't really acceptable
Only 1 lift, which we struggled to find as its hidden down the corridoor past the pool
Heated towel rail in bathroom didn't work
Rooms far too hot at night
Would I stay here again? Only if I was attending another function and got a deal on the room rate as it beats getting a cab home in the cold when you've had a few too many glasses of wine!

Thank you for your recent feedback following your stay at your Christmas party event. We do appreciate all feedback from our guests and use it as a tool to enhance our service and standards. I was pleased to read you enjoyed your Christmas event and do take on board your comments about the dancefloor. I have also passed on your kind comments to my reception team regarding their friendliness and service.
I was extremely disappointed to read of your experience in our bar and breakfast service. I have reviewed your comments with my Food & Beverage management team and do rest assured this is not indicative on service we strive to provide. I do apologise you struggled to find our lift, which is located on the main corridor to the accommodation wing and similarily I apologise for the difficulty you experienced in finding a car parking space. We do provide car parking for 250 cars, yet do appreciate on some occassions when we are paritularly busy it can get full.
I hope your experience does not deter you from staying at the hotel again and would like to welcome you back in the very near future.
