i really enjoyed my stay at the star inn. It was a very plesant stay for me and my boyfriend we live in the heart of manchester and there is not very many pubs like this one. The food was great and the family that live there were made us feel very welcome but there was one bar man who could not pull a pint to save his life, and made me and my partner feel a little uncomfortable. Not to worry, i kept in touch with the woman thats owns The star inn and i hear he's left now so im sure it'l be a much more comfortable environment. I do not agree with the Bad comment left someone obviously has the wrong place.

stayed at the star inn in sept for our anniversary fri sat , it is a loverly old inn with charm , the landlady and landlord were so friendly as all the regulars it has a great big open fire in the lounge and the food is superb and what a variety , even shark steak, we enjoyed it that much we are going back this sept 23rd so dont pinch our room ,

Having just spent a long weekend { Thursday to Monday } at the STAR INN, WEAVERTHORPE, Yorkshire. I can honestly state that this has been the best place I, my wife and friends have ever stayed for a relaxing time in the U.K. The food was excellent in every way and the choices on the menu were many and varied, all freshly prepared and cooked.
This hidden away gem of a Country Inn has 5 rooms, 3 are ensuite. The other 2 have seperate bathrooms accross the landing. The locals are very friendly and we were all made to feel very welcome.
The Inn is situated midway between York and Scarborough just a few miles off tha A64. Ideal foe anyone wishing to explore this beautiful part of England.
