“Highly recommended”

Stayed at this hotel 22nd- 25th Jan 2012 .Upon arrival we were told by a very pleasant apologetic girl on reception that there was a problem with the shower in our room, but that a plumber had been booked to sort it. We were offered the key to an adjacent room if we wanted to use the shower in the meantime. We didn't have a problem with this arrangement as our room did have a seperate roll top luxury bath. We were grateful for the kind consideration shown however, Without complaint or promting on our part, we were subsequently offered a free upgrade to a superior room with a sea view which had a working shower which we gratefully accepted. They even moved our things for us. All the staff were most pleasant and accommodating and a credit to the hotel. I believe the owners were away during our stay but the hotel was left in very good hands. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable and the views were to die for.
We booked in for dinner one night and the quality of food and the service we received was very good indeed as was the breakfast which was cooked to order.
The hotel has a well stocked public bar with a good selection of real ales on offer.
All in all we had a very pleasant enjoyable stay and we would highly recommend this hotel. The service standards and friendliness of the staff far exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

Highly recommend this family run small hotel, fantastic views across the bay, helpful staff, great food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Had a very pleasurable 3 night break, fully intend a return visit.

Room Tip: go for room 1 or 2 you'll never get tired of waking up to that view.

“Great Location Lovely Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Superb location. Great views over the bay and only a very short walk into the village itself. Food good (including great fish) and staff very friendly and efficient. Bar served well kept beer and the small tea room was also very pleasant. Lying in our top floor room listening to the wind blowing from The Moors was brilliant!

Room Tip: Ask for top floor facing the sea

“New Year 2011”

Thankfully now under new ownership. Have visited the hotel many times, and this time the hospitality was fantastic. The new owners have obviously worked in this business for a while, and it showed. They were welcoming and polite, and nothing was too much trouble. The restaraunt meals were nice quality and reasonably priced. The room was clean, and had a fantastic view across the bay. The new owners seem to have vision and recognise the huge potential this hotel has. Explaining some of the front rooms will have balconies soon added. So you will be able to sit and enjoy the breathtaking views with a fine glass of wine. Brilliant!!. The bar area is also great to enjoy a pint, and has an extensive bar food menu, and a large specials board that changes frequently. We really enjoyed our stay here. Its just a shame we had to leave.

Andrew and Cheryl ( New year 2011 )

Room Tip: Seaviews are fantastic. If you are up early watch the fantastic sunrise over the bay
