“A little piece of Heaven!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

We've been coming to Bainbridge Ings on and off for 15 years or so now and what a place to stay. Janet & Mark are great hosts and nothing is to much trouble for them, although the facilities are a little dated they are always spotlessly clean.

Bainbridge Ings is on the doorstep of Hawes which is a quaint little market town ten minutes walk away, having 2 small mini-markets, 3 pubs, a chip shop and a host of tea-rooms and places to eat so you will never be stuck for somewhere to go for a meal.

If you're into walking, you'll never need to use your car theres so many waymarked walks around Hawes that you'll be spoilt for choice.

Keep up the good work Janet & Mark, see you next year.

“Fabulous site in wonderful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

Over the last 20 years we have been to Bainbridge Ings many many times. Started taking our grandchildren with us 10 years ago. The site is unspoilt, spacious and surrounded by the most fantastic scenery in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales with many lovely walks. Everything you need for a comfortable holiday: washing machines, driers, showers etc and all kept very clean by the onsite owners who live on the farm at the entrance. No shop but you can get eggs and milk from the farmhouse. Hawes town (which has a lot to offer) is but a short walk away across the fields via a footpath. The country museum, rope factory and Wensleydale Cheese Factory are a must! It's a very safe and ideal site for children of all ages and everyone is always so friendly. The owners at the farmhouse are lovely and very knowledgeable about the area. There are LOADS of fabulous places to visit within a few miles and you're never short of finding something to do. The children adore it - as do we! If you have children, do go to Bolton Castle. It's wonderful! Our grandchildren insist we take them there every year!!

“Stunning Views & Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

My family and i have stayed at this campsite a few times now and we are never disappointed. It is a friendly site with clean facilities and panoramic views of the North Yorkshire Dales. The town of Hawes is just a short walk away; there is a good choice of child friendly pubs and restaurants nearby, as well as various tourist attractions to suit all ages. Overall, I would give this campsite 10 out of 10.

“Nice campsite”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 April 2010

We stayed here for 2 nights in chilly April.

It's about 20 mins walk from Hawes and has good amenities. The toilets and shower rooms are really clean and very good. Plenty of hot water for 5 mins all for 20p.

You camp around the outside of the field which allows for plenty of room in the middle for children to play. It is quite a windy spot though without any protection.

Good for first time campers.
