Full marks from me too. Very friendly, professional and the whole little place is marvelous and heavenly. Quiet and charming little villiage to look on to from the windows. You look out on to the village green and old cottages. The food is truly really first class, reason on its own to go there, it is hand assembled and cooked - no pies from packets or anything like that. Room was very clean and smart. Within litterally a matter of yards you can walk into beautiful scenery in various directions including to the Aysgarth waterfalls.

I am so glad that we picked the Cornlee as our first and last night stop on the Herriot Way. Knowing where we were coming back to made all the huffing and puffing worth it. Even down to the thoughtful supply of earplugs in the beautiful rooms is inspired. We'll be backk to the Cornlee without a doubt

We stayed on Sat 9th July and we will be back, the rooms are super clean and the breakfast the best we have even had including 5* hotels. Nothing is too much trouble for the smashing couple that run the place. Many thanks for a great night next time we will stop longer and try your evening meals because if that is the same standard as the breakfast it will be "the best"

Just finished the Herriot Way for the second time and re-visited at the Cornlee. I am still very very impressed with the extremely high standard that Stuat and Odette have achieved and, continue to maintain. The attention to detail is remarkable. Genuinely warm and friendly hosts. Stuart's cooking skills are second to none. Anyone staying here will have nothing to complain about.......that's why I returned this time and why I will certainly be going back!!!
