“A hotel of character at a reasonable price”

We booked this hotel as a base for the Lincoln Xmas Market. We found the deal offered was good value for money, with a two night stay and dinner on the first night a at reduced rate. The meals were so good we returned for dinner on the second night rather and find a Lincoln restraunt.
One fault is they give a post code to enter in your Tom Tom but this is for the main road of the town, and on enquiry there is another post code for the car park arround the back (More helpful as the main road is all double yellows.).

Room Tip: We always book a twin room as you seem to get more space. Rooms facing the car park are the quieter

“wedding day”

I'm a bit late in writing this as it happened last year, but we had our wedding at The Admiral Rodney in Horncastle. The overall all experience from the very beginning of the planning stage to the very end of our wedding day (and the next mornings breakfast) was totally superb. Staff were brilliant, very helpful and pleasant. Having eaten in the restaurant on the wedding eve with two of my friends, the food was excellent. The room I stayed in was very clean, lovely facilities and the breakfast and the wedding breakfast were excellent. With having a lot of our family stay over within the hotel as well, not one person found anything to complain about. Everyone was treated well and I would certainly recommend the hotel not only as a place to stay but also as a place to get married in! We have also returned on several occasions for a meal...lovely!

“Nice place to stay”

This review of the Rodney is based on staying here over the last two years. When staying away on business for long periods of time there are certain things that you must have ie a clean comfortable room, good service, friendly staff and of course good food. This hotel has it all which makes it much easier to be away from home for long periods of time and although i have other options of where to stay in the area it's the Rodney everytime.
Leaving home it's nice to know that you are heading to a warm atmosphere with all of the above.
Well done all the staff at the Rodney keep it up.

“Great food”

My review of the Admiral Rodney is based on a single night’s stay. On checking in I was given the key to an executive double room at the front of the hotel. I could tell as soon as I walked in that noise from the road outside would be a problem and given that I’d already read such comments on this site I immediately asked to be moved to a room at the rear. They only had a twin but I think sacrificing that double bed was worth it.
The food in the hotel bar was excellent and good value too. For that reason, I would definitely stay again.

“Good value and friendly staff”

Stayed here for three nights during a working trip to RAF Coningsby. Very nice little hotel with friendly staff, free internet and parking and the bar food is very good. Highly recommend the Ostrich steak and the 'Rodney Burger'. The full english brekkie is good too, all in all excellent value for money (Sunday night was £44 including breakfast)
