What a gem of a find! Had a short stay for a reunion and it couldn't have been in a more perfect spot. The accommodation was fantastic with large, spacious, warm and clean rooms that were full of goodies - sweets, toiletries, a hospitality tray - amazing attention to detail and comfort - a rare thing in this day and age. The bed was sooooo big and comfortable zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! The owner was friendly and helpful and served a fabulous breakfast. The choice was exceptional with the English breakfast or haddock etc. Amazing value.
Remembering this is in November when it is low season, everywhere was ready for business without looking like dust sheets had been taken off to accommodate us. Do not know how anybody can dis such a fabulous little find - the only thing is that if you survive on McD's breakfasts then that says a lot for your taste!!!!

Will definitely be back again to enjoy the atmosphere, look at all the arabian artifacts, and enjoy the amazing hospitality, comfort and superb breakfast!

My colleagues and I stay at Clee house roughly four times a year whilst working in the area and I have to say that even though I generally dislike having to stay away on business I actually look forward to staying at this hotel.
We always get a warm welcome and feel instantly at home! The service is excellent. The bar is well stocked and the food, served in the bistro, is absolutely fantastic.
The bedrooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, as well as biscuits and a small bowl of boiled sweets, which is a nice little added extra!
The breakfast is beautifully cooked, and there is also an assortment of cereals and fruit juice should you require a lighter start to the day.
Overall I would say Clee House Hotel makes a nice, refreshing change from staying in the uniform-esque Premier Inns and the like that I usually stay at and I would recommend it instantly to anyone wanting to know of a great place to stay in the Grimsby / Cleethorpes area.

Can't imagine where the last reviewer stayed but it certainly wasn't the Clee House Hotel and Bistro we went to! This place has it all and then some! Breakfast was sumptuous. Coffe was hot fresh and brewed...bacon, eggs, lashings of toast and fresh juice...4* start to the day!
Our room was beautifully appointed, warm cosy and and a treat to relax in. Bed comfortable, great pillows and crisp white linen. I heard NO noise from the other rooms and had a great nights sleep. The shower was enormous, hot and powerful, (my number one indicator of a great hotel!). A plethora of lovely bath products, tea and coffe in the room and everything you would expect such as hair dryer, comfy sofa, flatscreen TV etc.
The Managers Mr.and Mrs Dave were delightful host/hostess and we had a great evening in the bar and a super meal in the Bistro. Very polite waitress and good prices!
Next time you are anywhere near Cleethorpes I suggest you call in...you will be made MOST welcome and we will definitely come here again.

A modern B&B lives or dies on its breakfast and its decor.

Breakfast? They advertise that their eggs come from hens vaccinated against salmonella. Just what you want at breakfast. And they pride themselves on coffee being Nescafe granules. You'll get a better breakfast at the Golden Arches down the road.

The rooms are functional, if you can bear hearing the TV then snoring from 3 different directions.

Fight the contractors in the smoking area adjacent to the front door .... and I'm not going anywhere on the decor ... if you like signs telling you not what to do, then this Is the place for you.

Have stayed in most Grimsby hotels-this, by far, the worst.
