“Comfort Inn, good food, good staff and good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2006

Stayed at the Comfort Inn for 4 nights DBB 6th - 9th July 2006.
Bicker Bar roundabout - Junction A17 / A52.
Good central location for visiting Lincoln (cathederal & castle), Boston, Skegness and the surrounding areas including NT properties -Tattershall castle, Belton House and Peckover House.
The food is excellent, nothing pretentious, plain English fare, but excellent quality meat and all fresh vegetables perfectly cooked.
The breakfast is a real treat, cooked to order and plated, none of the tired stuff you get on some of the 'serve yourself' breakfast buffets!

The staff are really friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

The rooms are comfortable and adequately provisioned including tea and coffee-making facilities.
Ask for a room at the back if you want real peace and quiet and great sunset views of those massive skies.
Paid £58 per night for single occupancy in a double room, breakfast and 3 course TDH dinner.

“Old Dated and Lied to”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2005

What a horrible evening. We arrived at 10pm after travelling up from Bristol - We has book a double room for two nights through superbreaks but when we arrived we were told that they only had a twin room and they couldn't change is as they were fully booked. We took our key and went to the room which when we opened the door a stale smell came out and the room was very dated. I decied to telephone superbreaks to see why the mistake had been made and they told me that a double room had been booked so they would change the room for me. We changed roomes to a double room (even though they said that they were fully booked) which was a 4 poster bed - i bet your thinking oooh nice, but it wasn't. The bed had some old material draped around it and when I went into the bathroom I got wet feet as the over flow for the toliet went straight onto the bathroom door. Oh and the toast was burnt for breakfast and my scrambled eggs tasted like they has orange juice in them. I wouldn't stay there again and hope that by reading this you won't either. The duty manger who lied to us was called vicky.....so Vicky if you read this - you're a lier!

“Not particularly clean or friendly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 May 2004

We have just returned from staying at this hotel for 3 nights. The room looked very tired and in need of major refitting. The window frames were covered in mould and grime. Everything had a "way past it's best" look. The bathroom was very grubby and there was a lot of someone elses hair on the floor. Most worrying was that the cold tap dispensed very hot water for about a minute before any cold water actually came out. The shower was slightly safer but the water fluctuated between too cold and too hot. The breakfast staff were friendly enough but the dining room was a sad place to be and the cooked breakfast looked totally unappetising. On checkout the girl who dealt with us never asked us if we had enjoyed our stay or even said hello or goodbye.
I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to any of my family or friends.
