The Falcon is back to its very best after many years of neglect and poor management. As you walk through the old entrance you are immediately impressed with its warmth of welcome. The bedroom I stayed in on the top floor overlooking the old square was again impressive in its design , comfort and wamth.
The staff are young and to the Falcon born, the food is fresh , varied and tasteful , I really cannot fault the "new" Falcon in any respect.
Well done to all concerned and lomg may you continue.

We stayed with friends in two of the refurbished rooms for two nights. We were all extremely impressed with the quality of the rooms and the atmosphere of the whole establishment. The staff were very friendly and helpful, without being obtrusive and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were excellent with some great ideas for something beyond the usual 'full English', setting us up for the day. The only problem we now have is that all other hotels will be judged against the Falcon- and found wanting I suspect! These people have really got it right and next time we are in the area we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Went for an evening meal arranged by some friends and was pleasantly surprised by the changes since my last visit. The recent refurbishment has dramatically improved the ambience of the hotel. We ate in the bar area because the main restaurant was not fully open but we were told it would be fully functional in the near future.
The food was of good quality and well presented. The service was competent and friendly and the manageress took the time to show us the restaurant and function rooms.
I would recommend it now and think it will continue to improve in the next few months.

We had lunch and the food was very good. The hotel is having a massive refurb but looks as though it will be lovely. I shall go and stay when it has been completed and update again.
