“Second time around, even better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Or second visit was even better than our first. Stayed in same room but somehow felt more relaxed. Used the huge bath for a soak it's so big you feel like you're swimming. We had breakfast in bed served by the cheeriest waitress in the world. The general manager was around in the evening who was genial, hospitable and interested but not imposing. How is it that every single person at norhcote is the best at what they do?? We ate at the pub owned by northcote (the clog and billycock) as we aren't fans of tiny posh portions. had the cheese plate at northcote on our return in the bar area, you can literally have anything you want here and they will do it for you. I love it, but it's dangerous......it's addictive!

“How soon can we go again!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

stayed for a one night gourmet break, and our enjoyment started from the moment we entered the hotel, we were made to feel instantly comfortable in this new world, the deluxe room was fantastic we were guided through all facilities at the hotel which were amazing, the restaurant was superbly arranged,we had cream tea served in the lounge which really started the experience, as for the evening meal if i dare call it that whilst sitting in the lounge sipping champagne we were guided through the menu which instantly made me feel at home in this exotic food paradise and my did the food live up to its surroundings, the staff were excellent throughout our visit having had an excellent nights sleep breakfast was next omg it was like going back to the evening meal and this was titled 'full english breakfast' Wonderful
Then sadly it was hometime, but just a mention for Huggy Bear who was just so cuddly that
we adopted 2 for our grown up children.Looking forward to another visit

“Special Treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We had a lovely one night stay here in January. The staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel was first class. Our room was spacious and spotless, huge comfortable bed, two comfy chairs and small table, plus dressing table, wardrobe and writing area. Fridge with complimentary soft drinks, plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Bathroom was well appointed and lovely bathrobes. The Gourmet dinner was just that, beautifully cooked and presented, we decided to go with the wine choices at each course and these were good too. The real plus being you could choose to have all the wines or with just some of the courses. Fabulous choice at breakfast too and it set us up for the day. Yes it is pricey but once in a while you're worth it!! Will go again.

Room Tip: Check out the web site, our room No 15 was lovely.

“Nice Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

You may say it's a bit pricey but put it this way, it's like having your pocket picked by someone with such a lovely touch you hope they'll come back and do it again. The room,Number 11)was very smart and attractive, very well equipped, materials and fittings of considerable quality. The lounge and bar are very much in keeping with the style of the house and a nice place to be. Didn't have one but an afternoon tea did walk by, I'm not a pretty sight when I drool, it looked great. The restaurant is understated but to my eyes elegant and relaxing. The meal, 3 courses from the a la carte, was as good as anything I've ever eaten and well worth it's cost, (by absolute costs it's not bad). Let's find a grouch?; ah yes, soften up your bathrobes. Yes this is a rave but I enjoyed it that much. GREAT STAFF!

“Can't wait to go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Stayed at Northcote for the weekend with my partner as a Birthday treat, and WOW it really was. Cost a few quid, but worth every penny.

Booked for the food as we had never eaten at a Michelin Star restaurant and have to say it was the best meal we have ever had. We ate off the 5 course gourmet menu which was just divine, the whole atmosphere and service was absolutely fantastic as well.

The room was lovely, nice bed, bathroom, sky tv, everything you would expect, also with nice touches like complimentary drinks.

The best thing about the hotel though is the way the staff look after you. You can tell that this is what the hotel really prides itself on, so compliments to the owners and management on their recruiting and staff training.

A big thanks to Chris and all the team for looking after us, hope to see you again soon.
