“The police came as the hotel suspected I was a fraudster !!! Last time I spend money here !!!”
Well what can I say about the dunkenhalgh hotel.
First of all I would like point out the positive aspect of my stay ............
It was near the motorway!
I went to the bar with a client and a friend as we needed to discuss our diaries, we purchased drinks and sat in the unrexlaxed and awkward bar of the hotel. After 30 minutes of so I popped along to the toilet, my first impressions of the toilet were terrible as there was no hand towels or anything to dry your hands after washing them and used hand towels where slung over in a corner, it obviously hadn't been cleaned for a few hours.
I took my jacket off in the cubicle and hung it up on a make shift and wobbly coat hook, after a few minutes as just as I was in the process of finishing I stood up and the lights went out in the toilet, this resulted in me slipping and almost falling hand first into a used toilet !!!!
I had to use the torch on my phone to find a roll of toilet paper as there was none on the holder and had to hold my torch while I used the paper!!!!!!! This resulted in me nearly dropping my phone down the loo.
As you can imagine I was furious and extremely embarrassed, I would expect this in a faulty towers type hotel but not in a hotel of this calibre.
I promptly reported this to the reception and she apologised, can I ask you to think how embarrassing that is to have to report this to a female member of staff !!!
Despite this I decided to stay and booked a room.
We continued to drink and spend money in the bar, we decided to have more drinks upstairs and ordered room service - throughout the evening i spent almost £200!!
I must point out there was no noise coming from the room, however the staff thought it be best to call the police as they suspected fraud as I used my debit card to pay for my evening !!!!!
The police came to my room and detained me for 30 minutes before they could confirm my identity !!!!!!!
One word - ridiculous !!

Dear Guest
The police were called and responded by going to the guest bedroom. On returning to the front desk they agreed that we were justified in having some suspicions.
Yours sincerely
