We wanted to stay over after visiting family in Kent & managed to get one of the recent deals for just £15. Bargain! The hotel is at the services and while we thought that may mean it would be noisy it was far from that as we had rooms at the back overlooking woods and heard no road noise at all. The hotel is an older property & basic but perfectly adequate.
The rooms are fairly spartan but a fair size and well lit and furnished in a dark grained wood effect with open style hanging space and shelving. While it cheapens the look of a room, at least it is practical as it is harder to leave stuff you can easily see!
The bathroom had a large top for storing sponge bags. The panelled bath had a fixed shower head & one of those taps you need a degree to work. The loo paper & towels were hard!
There was a tea/coffee tray & small FSTV but no hairdryer, internal phone, iron or bathmat.
If you show your room key (& it was a key!) at Costa you get a discount.
Nothing fancy here but a good night’s sleep and that was all we wanted.
