Stayed in October 2011 - £55 for 2 nights sharing a twin room B&B in a party of 10. Initially concerned due to the other reviews on here - but although the place is VERY shabby it wasn't dirty as such. Standard is equivalent to a ratty youth hostel rather than any form of hotel - but the staff were polite and the continental breakfast was OK.

Let's be clear, this place isn't the ritz but the staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the rooms were fine. The Rooms were clean, warm and the beds were comfortable. It is also really close to the town centre, bars, restaurants and galleries. if you're looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful (cost us £550 fro 10 people for 2 nights) this is the place for you.

This place is awful the reception is nice but ask to see the room ....
We payed 30 pound for single room each and all of them were bad ... One was very small in which the sink was disguisting and another room window was broke so it was freezing .....
It was not on suite the shared bathroom was the worst I have ever seen ... It was black the shower looked like it had never been clean ... No hot water...

My advice to the owner use the £90 we payed u and by some mr muscle and some White paint and take pride in what you own

I am a contractor who works all around the country, I am not fussy, as you get to see all sorts as you travel around trying to get accommodation at a reasonable rate.
However I can concur with all the previous comments, if you read these reviews and then still decide to stay, then do not be surprised when you get there, as it is exactly as descibed, a hovel not a hotel,everywhere was unclean, and no hotel staff entered my room at all over 4 nights, no cleaning in room or changing of towels.(DISGUSTING)
the management should be ashamed of themselves...........
I also booked through laterooms.com so they also are at fault for not checking this place out.....
