Ein herrliches Haus umgeben von einem großen Nutzgarten, zwei wunderschöne Zimmer mit Meerblick und Balkon. Das Frühstücksmenü ist ausgezeichnet, die Zutaten aus dem eigenen Garten, selbstgebacken und "local". Pub, Restaurant, Meer, Wanderwege: zu Fuß erreichbar, dazu Tips, Informationen und aufmerksame Betreuung von den Gastgebern.
Idealer Standort für Ausflüge nach Canterbury, Dover, div. Schlösser in Kent und für Wanderungen auf den Klippen.

We had a wonderfully comfortable and restful stay at The Gardeners Rest and were made to feel very welcome. The double room was spacious and very comfortable and the views of the amazing garden and surrounding countryside were fabulous. The breakfasts too were great with mainly home grown or locally sourced produce.

Prior to boarding a ship in Dover, England for a cruise, we were in search of someplace to meet our son for the weekend outside of London. Thru an internet search, we found Gardeners Rest B&B in the small village of Kingsdown near Deal, England. It was located just a short distance from Dover and the port where we were to board our ship.
What a surprise! The village is located on the English Channel near the precious town of Deal. Gardeners Rest is a haven of flowers in an English garden. The owners have traveled the world and Ken is a retired naval/submarine sailor with a fabulous green thumb. Our rooms were very bright with a grand view of the sea and the countryside. Request the East bedroom for a king bed with a view of the English channel. The West bedroom is a queen bed with a lovely view also but a smaller room. Breakfast very excellent. We were with another couple and had the entire inn part of the home for our group. We walked the gardens and had breakfast together over looking the beauty of the countryside. Ken loaned our son a bicycle to ride all over the area while we were there. That is an excellent way to get around the entire area to see all the sights. The innkeepers also directed us to Hardicot Inn for a room for our son. It was a delight also. The pubs are good food and the price was so great for everything. They are scaling back to booking only on weekends now so that they too can travel and enjoy more gardening. Stay here for a wonderful retreat.

Truly the most comfortable and friendly B&B we have stayed at, and we have done more than a few. The accommodation was bright, spacious, immaculately clean and superbly furnished. The views were wonderful and we are missing the gorgeous breakfasts with fresh home grown ingredients. We will be back as soon as possible.
