Fabulous experience – from the moment you’re lead down the candlelight corridor in to the relaxation suit you feel your worries leaving you and a sense calm take over. I sat back on the reclining beds whilst I waited for my therapist to collect me, she lead me through to the treatment rooms which are softly light, warm and together with the floaty music and wonderful aromas give a truly relaxing ambient feel.

I can’t recommend my therapist enough; I visit the Spa as a non hotel resident customer and receive treatment for a reoccurring shoulder and back muscle problem. Having tried a variety of therapy rooms here on the Isle of Wight the service and treatment I receive at the Lakeside Spa is absolutely the best with out question. My usual therapist is Charmine, and I have to say her attention to detail and genuine interest in providing a solution to the pain is a breath of fresh air. The treatment it’s self is not only deeply relaxing, but always provides a very welcome relief from the pain that I suffer from.

Although my treatment is predominantly carried out by Charmaine I feel very happy to recommend any of the girls over there as I’ve had the pleasure of receiving a variety of treatments, including hot stones massage, Indian head and shoulder massage and facials, all carried out by professional and caring beauticians.

My partner booked a night at the Lakeside as a surprise for my birthday. The room was very clean, big and the bed was very comfortable.

We used the spa facilities, the pool is quite small but we mainly used the sauna and steam room. We both had treatments, mine was by far the best massage and facial ive ever had!

After having a very peaceful night sleep, we woke up to the sound of woodpeckers. Breakfast was very nice, everything from cereal to a full english.

All the staff are very welcoming and will do their upmost to help you.

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!

The Lakeside is local to me but, myself and 3 friends treated ourselves and spent one night in quiet, comfortable stylish bedrooms. We enjoyed a lovely massage and facial and relaxed in the spa facilities. The afternoon tea was amazing but we unable to eat it all!!

Dinner was great, for £30 per head we had two bottles of wine between 4 and each enjoyed a main course and dessert. I had beef shin which was melt-in-the-mouth divine. I can't find fault and feel that the meal was excellent value for money so, I shall be returning to further sample the menu's many offerings and hopefully will find an excuse soon for an overnight stay!

PS - the breakfast was an excellent buffet....very good and set us up for the day.

We stayed here for a night. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and the rooms with the lake view a very desirable. The restaurant had amazing lobster and the fish served was very well prepared. We did not book the spa in advance so did not get the opportunity to experience the spa but we did visit the spa and it looked very relaxing. We did not drive to the hotel so had to rely on public transport. The bus stop was right at the entrance of the hotel and had good link to Ryde and other spots of visit.
