Just returned from a wonderful week at this hotel, My single room was great...ALL staff were very helpful and friendly, always smiling which tells me they are happy in their work...Not sure why other reviews think that the fact breakfast is not included in the rate is a down point as this is now quite usual in this country as not every one wants to have a breakfast, so for me is ideal. Most days I enjoyed Lunch and an evening meal there, all meals I chose were well cooked and presented ...if I wanted Al la Carte I would have gone elsewhere....This for me will be my chosen hotel on my next visit to Ryde

I stayed in the Appley Manor last year, and was back this year. It was ideal for what I required. I was in a group, with Vintage Cars. Two of our party, had problems with their cars (mine included) and the hotel could not have been more helpful.

However, my comments last year about the food still stand. It was all very nice and well cooked, but very much "Pub orrientated" I suspect that this is where they make their money!

This year I was given another large family room for use as a twin. The room contained a Double Bed and a Single Bed, and still left plenty of room.

Excellent value, for two people sharing a room, but not for single occupancy. Just one word of caution for future travellers. The rate is for Room only. Breakfast is charged extra, depending on what you have from the menu. I am not saying that the cost was unreasonable, but in this Country you are use to booking a room on a Bed and Breakfast rate, so this is unusual for the UK.

recently stayed for second year running with vintage cars. Two of us had car trouble and the staff and proprietor could not have been more helpful. Rooms were again clean and comfortable and good value. Service was quick and very friendly. Will definitely be back next year

We stayed for 3 nights 29th July. My Son and his wife with their young baby (they provided travel cot free of charge). It was their first holiday with their new baby , and it was a lovely place with nice rooms. Its a lovely hotel for the UK and rooms where spotless and very modern with tea and coffee facilities. Restaurant downstairs open to the public and was full which says something. Wedding reception was also their with the lovely grounds it has. I could not fault this hotel and would recommend highly. Prices are very good as well. Enjoy your stay we certainly did.
