Excellent stay, I loved the breakfast, their was a set menu, but the owner cooked any thing that I asked for, I was always greeted when I finished in the evening. Room was clean, and towels changed daily, and bin emptied daily. Free wifi, which was great. The owner guided me on where to go for food and things to do. But the best thing was that the owner gave me a lift to catch the ferry. Top marks

Anchorage is a very clean , tidy and well presented B/B, the garden room i stayed its was light and airy with 2 beds on suite bathroom, tea and coffee facilitys, Breakfast in morning was freshly cooked, the landlord was very hospitable and made our stay a pleasure. also free use of Wi-Fi.

Total rip-off at £80 a room, this is the price I would expect to pay for a 3-4 star hotel. This place is a tired shabby old guest house, which should be priced at no more than £50 a night. The owner was inflexible over what time breakfast could be served. He was a rude arrogant man. The breakfast was 'on the cheap', with nasty pork sausages. Paying £80 for a room, I would expect sausages with more than 0.1% pork in them. Well worth avoiding this place, there are far better value places to stay in Cowes. As for the reviews of 4/5 and 5/5 on this site, I think he's made them all up himself.

The main thing I liked about this place was the choice of breakfasts!I was there for nearly 2 weeks for business so having a choice for breakfast was great. Owner was friendly and location good. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke however, and the carpet in my room could have done with being vacuumed! Location good.
