We spent a night at the B&B before we left for Italy. Both Jan and Ron are really wonderful and they've made us feel at home. The room is clean, breakfast was good and Ron even picked and sent us to the airport. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay near to Stanstead airport.

Beautiful house, room quiet and clean, a good sleep, and Jan drove me to the airport as there was a slight mix-up over the taxi booking. What lovely people!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, and could not have wished for a friendlier reception. Ron and Jan put themselves out to be helpful, and nothing was too much trouble, from having to borrow a screwdriver to finding a suitable place for dinner. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, and the lounge/dining room absolutely charming. As a former B&B proprietor I can only tip my hat to these two, who have that vital ingredient..., they care. If B&Bs were drinks then this would be a chilled bottle of Dom Perignon. Forget the rest, this is the one.

After staying at many Hotels/b&b´s close to the airport, we have been disappointed many times, but after spending some time scrutinizing the Internet we have found "Oak Lodge" Bed & Breakfast.
After recently staying there we would highly recommend Oak Lodge to anyone wishing to overnight close to London Stansted Airport.

Oak Lodge is a quality Tudor style luxury bed & breakfast set in secluded gardens, the perfect place to relax for a few days or just for one night, With comfortable and very nicely decorated rooms, the whole feel of this place was very relaxing and friendly.
The owners Jan & Ron arranged taxis for the short trip to airport.. excellent service
a most enjoyable stay at Oak Lodge and we look forward to stay again soon.
