i arrived in gatwick a day early (normally i'm a day late ) so got the train back one stop to bishops stortford, into the local cab office and got the number of 3 establishments, one of them being latchmead, i rang and Poala answered the phone told me she had a room, i asked for directions, she said "I'll collect you" on the way to the place she asked me if i wanted an evening meal, i said i did, so she rang the pub and got them to keep the kitchen open for me, we dropped my bag in the room and she drove me to the pub and i had a lovely meal and a couple of pints, lovely brekfast the following morning, poala was dropping me back to the station and on the way i mentioned that i wanted to pick up a pair of earrings for my daughter, so she took me to the jewellers, i caanot see how any one could not enjoy their stay at latchmead, lovely place and even lovelier people, thanks Poala and Kevin

i stay in a lot of b+bs as part of my work all over the south of england and i stayed at latchmead for 3 nights, on arrival i had a very warm greeting from Paola & Kevin the owners and was shown to my room, i was amazed by the clenleness of the room is was THE best i have stayed in, nothing was too much trouble for them and as i was working from 8pm til 1-2am every night they surrplied me with a very very nice goody bag with sanwhich`s , drinks crisps etc i cant wait until i go back there next year nothing is out of place and the grounds are keept realy clean and tidy, really nice and peace full apart from the planes from stansted but you soon get used to them i would highly recommend this b+b to ANYONE , just to sum up clean, tidy, really comfy and well equipt rooms with tea, coffee etc en suite latchmead has everything you could ever need for a nice peacefull holiday or just a 1 night stop over

I stayed at Latchmead with my son and his bestman the night before his wedding and had the most lovely room followed buy a good shower and the best hairdryer (very important on the big day) I was up bright and early so I could explore the neighbourhood and take photos of the lilac in full bloom and little bunnies in the garden. We all met at the house and enjoyed a great breakfast and a very amusing chat about weddings! It was a great start to a day I had been looking forward to for a long time.

I reserved two rooms for our engineers who needed to stay overnight. Both were thrilled with their rooms and the service they received. Will most definitely use this B&B again when we need to accommodate our staff. We were offered a reduced rate if there was consecutive nights stay. Rooms were clean and the bathrooms were modern and in excellent condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful and an early breakfast in the rooms was provided as our engineers had to leave before 7.00 a.m.. The company van's were secure and safe in the on site car park . Excellent!!
