We had a voucher through Travelzoo for a meal for two for £29 and it didn't disappoint. There was a set menu with 5 options for each course. The options were very varied with a choice for vegetarians too. The portion sizes were very good too, felt very stuffed afterwards! The waiters were attentive and checked that everything was ok with our meal. I would definitely go back and stay overnight too.

Booked for one evening due to a Travelzoo deal at the attached restaurant. The reception staff were friendly enough. Thought the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small and there was mold on the ceiling as there wasn't any ventaliation which was a shame.
The windows let a huge amount of the cold in, but thankfully the radiators did their job! Stop wasting heat and get your windows replaced!!
Overall, an enjoyable stay.

The Letchworth Hall is in a pleasant setting and conveniently located close to the A1(M). Our room was comfortable but quite basic: there was a tv, en-suite facilities, a safe and other useful items, but no fridge, an uncomfortable bed and other items of 'cheap' furniture.
Outside our room, we made use of the lovely dining room (the conservatory was a tad cold and drafty), the relaxed bar area and ante room.
We very much enjoyed dinner in the hotel's restaurant (we'd recommend making a booking) and buffet-style breakfast. Overall, it was better than average but not very good, though the staff were excellent

Booked afternoon tea to celibrate a 90th Birthday. Looked forward to the event as we had been before (last year) when the whole experience was very enjoyable. However, on this occasion it was a shambles from start to finish. We were badly positioned, with limited waiter service and given lukewarm coffee flavoured tea (no choice) from a flask, together with huge lumps of unattractive and inedible sponge. The food was served on huge slabs of granite, which no one could lift, so they could not be passed around. In no way did it resemble the advertised meal. It was more like a Sunday School picnic. I was doubly disappointed and embarrassed as this was a treat for my mother in law and I had promised everyone a typical English Tea, which we certainly didn't get.
