I have stayed at the Grove before and can not get enough of this hotel. We have always had amazing meals in the Glasshouse and this time was no exception. Be careful before ordering tea or coffe after the meal though as drinks are very expensive. Our room was overlooking the carpark but there was no outside noise due to the thick windows. It was very comfortable and they even offer a range of pillows, should you not like the ones in your room. There is a large flat screen TV offering a range of channels. The room was very clean and a "turn down service" is offered in the evening. Bathroom was lovely also and the toiletries offered. The breakfast buffet has a huge selection on offer and the food is exceptional.
We used the gym which was brilliant and there are staff there to help if you dont know what you're doing. My only critiscism was the pool. It was exceptionally clean and the amenities were all very good. Unfortunately, the Saturday was very busy. There were limited numbers of beds and chairs. Therefore, people were standing round the side of the pool and even having to stand in the steam room. The Sunday was a lot quieter and was a brilliant experience. Perhaps its best to avoid Saturdays.
The facilities at the hotel are faultless. There is free bike hire (plus a map of a cycle route) or walking routes and the grounds are amazing. There is a childrens club (which I was suprised to see was not complementary). I have never had to pay for a childrens club abroad. There is a childrens pool, which had hardly any chairs for parents to sit and watch their children. There was a table tennis and pool table and several other games for children.
Overall, I had an amazing time. The staff can do enough to help you and you feel like you are miles from anywhere. I would definately stay here again.
