The place is a tip, the management haven't a clue. By the looks of the number of empty pitches, caravan owners are leaving in droves.

Booked a last minute weekend deal as could not find accommodation elsewhere and stayed in a burley caravan, which to be honest was fine for our needs. That's where the positives stop as the food, entertainment etc are poor. The oak suite was shut on the Saturday night as a private function took priority over guests who were left with the tiny blues bar where I had the experience of the poor food on offer that they say is freshly prepared (out of a box more like). Having stayed at shorefields this is definitely a poor relation.

my wife a i loved our stay at oakdene forest park. We stayed in a lodge with a hot tub which was great to relax in.The lodge was very comfortable ,clean and had everything we needed. The swimming pool, sauna , stream room were fab, it was a kept clean and we were the only ones in the pool most of the time. We enjoyed the walk next to the park in the forest.We really enjoyed our break we just wanted to get away from all the hustle and bustle which is would we need, I would go back and recommend it to a friend.

We booked through Hoseasons to stay in at Oakdene, I called to say my Husband has had a Bone marrow Transplant, so he could not be near mold as it gives off spore which would be very dangerous for him. I offer to pay if an extra clean was needed, and I was told they are all clean with no mold.
I asked in check in if it was clean and dry, told yes, see pictures to see what you think!!!
They could not move us to anything else!

Also The other problems were black mold on the overlap at the top of the fridge door.

Unable to open the ice box in fridge as it was totally frozen up.

Picture smeared with food from previous guests.

All door ledges filthy

The double bed mattress you can feel all the springs

Dinning area curtains stained.

1 oven shelf only and not one baking tray impossible to cook for 6 with this, as we needed to do as my husband cannot eat out .

The grill pan you can only make 2 bits of toast for 6 persons , and no toaster.

All such a shame as the pool area and club very nice. and a nice setting
