We stayed here for a two night break in the New Forest.

Room was large, roomy and clean and so was the bedding and bathroom.

Found the Hosts to be very friendly and had a good chat with them.

The location is excellent too. The town was two minutes walk away and ponies were walking wild on the common on the other side of the road.

Our Hosts took interest in our stay and even had print-outs of walking routes in the area for us to take away.

Plenty of parking as well for our people carrier.

Will definitely stay here again and next time will bring our pedal bikes to explore the area more.

My partner and I stayed at this B & B as it was close to Southampton Airport. We stayed in the ground floor turret room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast with a good choice of cooked and continental food. Would definitely stay again. Great location for walking.

I chose Rufus House based on the review of other site users, which gave exceptional feedback!

After my first meeting with Ernesto and Etsuko I felt right at home, they were very professional and accommodating. Through the course of my job I spent just over 2 months at the Rufus House.

Over the long period nothing was a problem for them, they were very helpful, and provided a real home from home environment.

Breakfast was excellent with a large selection of cereals, cooked breakfasts and drinks and the very tasty pear jam.

Sadly I changed jobs and had to move away from the area, but should I ever require a B&B in the Lyndhurst area I will be straight on the phone to Ernesto and Etsuko for a room.

All in all I would recommend to anyone that they stay at this B&B should they be looking for a excellent hosts, well sized rooms which are clean, tidy and with a flair of style.
