I stayed in the hotel for a week. The rooms are clean and in good condition.
The hotel staf are friendly and helpful. I did however experience some confusion regarding a pair of trousers I needed to have cleaned. However all was successfully managed in the end.
The only thing that really annoyed me was that I wanted to eat dinner in the hotel one evening. When I got to the restaurant I was told to either wait until 9 9:30 as they were having a party or find another place to eat, this was around 7 and I was staying in one of the suites paying 160£ per night.
The pool was busy most of the time so I didn't really feel like going to the pool.

The best thing for me was that it was very close to the business I had to deal with.

There is not a lot of other things to do in the vicinity. There is a Tesco about a mile away and a pub just outside hotel.

All we can say is don't go here when they have a Wedding Fair. Even though there were very few covers in the restaurant, they seem to concentrate on food for the Wedding Fair. They should have told us. We don't expect people from the Wedding Fair walking through the dining room when you are sitting there for a meal. The food was good, but I would say that the staff are badly trained. I am no snob, but having been to a lot of restaurants, they don't know what they are doing and when our food was 1hour 10 mins late, the waiter said there had been an accident which puts you off. What accident? Have they dropped the roast beef joint on the floor? It cost us £120 for the privilege - we wouldn't go there again for sure. We are locals so they are crazy not to make a good impression. No apology - staffed by amateurs. No sign of a Manager. Also, toilets not serviced - hand towel had run out in both machines. Makes you wonder?????

I enjoyed a 9 night stay on business, also making use of the Conference facilities. Very good snacks and proper coffee in the "Conference Cafe". Excellent service throughout. Utilized the bar for a variety of evening meals. Staff were attentive and helpful. Room was large and very well appointed - clean and everything working. Free WiFi thoughout. Large car park - free. Hotel owned pub next door with Thwaites ales and all charges able to be booked to room.

I should be using this hotel on several business occasions this year and look forward to this.

We regularly stay at this brilliant hotel and it feels like staying with friends. We use it as both a great place for meeting up with extended family and friends and also for a quiet romantic break and chill. It has the added attraction of the Spa facilities which are good.
All the staff are friendly and courteous and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay.
The food in the hotel restaurant is always imaginative, well cooked and presented with flair and the pub within the grounds serves has a great atmosphere and serves "pub grub" to a very high standard.
We love this place and look forward to returning very, very soon.
