“Short but Very Sweet !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

My wife and I made a very last minute booking on friday evening 6th Jan 2012 through Booking.com. We have been to the New Forest Many times and stayed at 3 or 4 different places, all have been good in their various ways but this one takes the top Prize! We arrived 2 hours earlier than we had originally planned, to be met by Jane who was completely non-fazed.We were shown to the maple Room, excellent decor, furnishings and facilites with double doors overlooking the Garden. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to see from the "Chalkboard menu" that the food here was going to be special, and it was! We didn't meet Mike (Janes Brilliant Chef Husband) but we really enjoyed his superb cooking! We loved the Three Lions very much (Especially the one in our bedroom!) and will definitely come again !

“Fantastic relaxing break with amazing food!”

We arrived for a 2 night break on 25th November at around 2pm , we were made very welcome and shown to a lovely spacious ground floor room next to the conservatory. We had stayed before and had some amazing food then and so decided upon dinner again, we were very impressed and so had dinner again on the Saturday night also, the breakfasts were also stunning with Jane's home made bread as an additional highlight, nothing was too much trouble for Jane, Mike and staff and we look forward to our next stay with the wonderful team at the 3 Lions!

Room Tip: We had the Oak room which was lovely, spacious and had a huge bed

“Unbeatable Food qualiity and service....excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

We have made this b&b a yearly visit now as we are so impressed. We have visited about 5 times and will be doing so next year.
The staff are very freindly and accomodating, going into exceptional detail to make your stay comfortable. Nice and informal surroundings yet recomend your wine choice and make us feel like we are their special guest every year.
We always stay in the family suites which are large and comfotable with everything you would need. The food is exceptional, you would have to go to a well reknowned restuarant to beat this place.
Great with the kids, they accept dogs which isn't for everyone but we have a dog so was a bonus (we didn't feel there was any evidence of dogs in the rooms as they were spotless so don't let this put you off if your not a doggy person)..

over all great experience..

Room Tip: The Family suites are a good upgrade for the money

“outstanding food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

My wife and I stayed overnight a couple of weeks ago. Delightful welcome, good size bedroom and bathroom, pleasant owners and staff but without a doubt the highlight of the stay was the food. As good as I have eaten in any London restaurant and better than most. Everything about the meal was first class as was breakfast the next day. The wine list was also very good and not overpriced. I would return here any time.

“A lovely place to stay with grea access to the forest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We stayed at The Three Lions in October for one night. Our room was in the main building, very comfortable room, with a little balcony to view the pretty garden. The rooms are very spacious and well equipt with flat screen tv's, lovley bathrooms and great shower, plenty of complemtary tea and coffee. Nice little touches in the room. Lovely conservatory or guests to relax in. Service is swift and friendly, very obviously owner run. We enjoyed a mornings walk around the forest before reluctantly returning home. Head chef and owner Mike and wife Jayne head a great restaurant and we will definately be returning
