We met up with friends for a meal at Berties and my partner and I stayed the night. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel really wlecome, room was a bit on the small side but was comfy and bathroom was fine. The meal we all had in the evening was exellent and staff were really nice. Great breakfast in the morning so overall a really good time thank you.

We had a separate room for a birthday celebration - there were about 14 of us and the food came up all at the same time, hot and delicious. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. My husband and I stayed in a room upstairs. It was clean, comfortable and as it overlooked the road, not as noisy as I expected. In the morning we had a fabulous breakfast and were not rushed out, despite the fact that it was the owners' day off and they planned to go out for the day. I would definitely stay again. Thank you.

We had 18 in a private room at this restaurant and the service was excellent. Everything was well organised for us and the food was excellent and amazingly good value. We will definitely use this place again. Well done to all the staff.

I stayed at Berties again last week and I have to say it was all I had hoped for. I stay here regularly because first and foremost it is a restaurant and a very good one at that. I would far rather stay at Berties with friendly staff and great food than at some faceless chain where yes, the room may be bigger/smarter/cheaper but you just feel like a number in a factory. I can only imagine the moaning contingent leaving negative reviews have unreasonable expectations and my advice to them is "Stay at the Travelodge!"
