From the moment we were greeted until we left the service and ambience were great.
My wife and I were on a protein diet so the fabulous cakes offered with tea on arrival were politely declined. This could have been an awkward moment declining hospitality but just resulted in an enquiry about what we wanted for breakfast. The room was clean and nicely decorated to a high standard and we had a lovely stroll in the evening around the gardens.
Breakfast for us was poached eggs but the dresser revealed a great assortment of fresh fruit and cereals. We were off early and wished we were able to stay longer.
PS we left a cool bag and ice blocks which duly arrived unsolicited in the post a couple of days later. Beyond the call of duty we think. Testament to this superb find and we will stay there again.
