I cannot comment on the hotel itself but it was our wedding anniversary back in August and I wanted to try a restaurant that offered something different on its menu. After a quick internet search I found the restaurant in the Zuzanka Hotel offered an 'exotic menu'. Being almost on our doorstep we decided to give it a try and booked a table for the Saturday night. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the old world feel of the room but were also surprised that it was empty of customers on a Saturday night. In fact, between 8pm and closing time only four other people came into the restaurant which was fine with us as it meant we received quick and attentive service but other diners may have felt the restaurant lacked atmosphere. The menu did indeed include an exciting choice of exotic meats and I chose the crocodile steak which I have been wanting to try for a long time. My wife chose the wild boar and both our meals were excellent. My brother and his wife were not quite so adventurous and picked the lamb shank and the fillet steak with haggis respectively but both too agreed their food was very good. The only downside to the food was that my sister-in-law chose asparagus for her starter and the portion size was incredibly small. All in all we had a very enjoyable meal and will certainly be going back to try some of the other exotic meats.

My family and i had the most delicious Sunday lunch yesterday, it was our first visit and we will be recommending it to our friends. The portions were large and everyhing perfectly cooked. We will definitely be making a return visit!!

Me and my son stayed here at the beginning of our 2 months walking tour through the uk. The rooms are very clean with a comfortable bathroom- all very nice refurbished. Laurence, the host, and his staff made everything to make us feel welcome and home. Great food...didn't try the Kudu tough! ; )

Everything about the hotel was fantastic! The room was clean, spacious with a very modern en suite shower room. First rate quality for the fittings, bedlinen and towels - something that us ladies appreciate! The refurbishment has certainly been carried out to a very high standard.

Lots of character, relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. Lawrence was superb, a real superstar, who works extremely hard to ensure everyone is happy and satisfied with their stay.

Breakfast was a real treat with lots of choice, large portions and nothing 'too much trouble' Would definately recommend a visit!!!!!!
