Nice enough in appearance, the room was clean and comfortable, furnishings were new but a bit cheap looking. Staff were friendly, breakfast was quite nice, although my table wasn't very clean and I had a dirty knife. Wi fi was poor, couldn't get a very good reception.

If you are just staying overnight it is fairly good value for money. Wouldn't recommend a long stay. And avoid the Harvester next door, food was very poor!

We stayed at the Travelrest from 11th Sept until 15th Sept.
The hotel does exactly what it says on the tin.. It is a small friendly hotel which was somewhere to lay your head at night. The staff were friendly and would help you out when needed. Personally the duvet was too heavy but other than that the room was large & comfortable.

I would recommend the hotel to other people as it is close to Fareham town centre and is accessible to m27.

Our room ,37, was a good size, clean with a hospitality tray that had realistic amounts of tea ,biscuits etc. The bathroom was small but that is to be expected with house conversions. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The brekfast was an extra £7.50 but there was a nicely laid out buffet selection and the hot food beatifully cooked.
We stayed for 5 nights and would use this hotel again.

Just slightly set back from the main road, this initially lloked ok, but the rooms were small, there was no air conditioning, ensuite floor was shabby, shower was not thermostatic and the complimentary biscuites had already been nibbled at! On top of this, on check out, the price had gone up £10!!!! I challenged this and 'Judith' was summoned. This angry looking woman had said we did well to get the deal at £60 per night and there was no agreement on a £60 for saturday deal and £50 for the sunday. We paid, put would encourage people to look elsewhere for suitable accommodation for this area.
