Thanks for the review, although it is the only one which is negative to us. All the others are totally genuine.

I feel I should respond.

1. Beds. As owners we have real issues with beds - the guests are getting heavier and profits are amazingly low in this business - so investing costs a large % of income. But since your stay all the beds have been 'hardened'. This means that expensive, up-market bases with pocket springs have been replaced with cheaper (but costing a fair % of income). The beds are now firmer. But someone else will now moan that they are too hard!
2. I really can find no problem with the new digital TVs. Every B&B I've stayed at has old, non-digital TVs. So I thought we might get praise for them. But ...
3. WiFi. It's free! I never get that in Premier Travel Inns. Most folks find they get on well enough. Sorry you had problems with your system.
4. Breakfast. Yes, we do mostly use the oven for bacon etc. We have never had a negative comment until now. But that's your preference and that's fine. We do offer: fruit / nuts / yoghurt . waffles / all the eggs / omlettes / kippers / vegetarian cooked breakfast and a full vegetarian + vegan menu. None is baked. The eggs are free range (much more expensive) and the food is low fat (Eg expensive bacon and sausages, not the ones often used) and was served hot and freshly prepared. Not the case in most travel inns.
5. Garden. Yes, it can look overgrown. But 50% of the acre plot is fairly traditional, the other 50% is ecological and quite different. It is an attempt to give wildlife a chance and is used as a teaching garden for many courses. Today we have seven species of butterfly in the meadow. Some are really quite rare and need specific plants and vegetation types - hence the management. But it is often described in very positive terms by many guests and is 'free'. What do you get at most B&Bs or travel inns? A wonderful garden? A BBC researcher (Gardeners' World) described Forest Edge as 'the most beautiful small garden she had ever seen'. I think she is wrong, but those were indeed her words.
