It would be wrong to even classify this place as a hotel because the facilities which were available this week fall short of even a homeless hostel! Arrived on Wednesday evening by taxi to find the entire place locked up and no staff present. Eventually a welcome 'note' was discovered pinned to the door with the key, no explanation or apology. It was like the opening scene to an amateur horror movie and being a woman on her own it was very disturbing. Having found my room, there was no outside line available, this had to be enabled by the 'ghost' staff. Now I was stuck with no car and without a mobile phone (yes, some people do not have mobile phones!!), no way of contacting the outside world to rescue me from this horror hotel. Of course the public telephone at the hotel would work - but no, every number called gave the same message 'This call cannot be connected.' So, trapped in a hotel with no staff, no food, no drink, no telephone, no car, oh, and being five months pregnant with no way of telling my husband I was okay.
I will be complaining to the hotel group and demanding a full refund because this place was a shambles. Even the next day no staff were on site, so there was not even anyone to complain to then. The hotel management will probably blame the bad weather, but if I could get there then so could they and if they were not able to host me then they should have contacted me so I could make alternative arrangements.
Pathetic.
