We stayed for one night between Christmas and New Year. Incredibly cheap ~ we paid £34 for B & B for two through Travel Republic. Parking is free. We thought the hotel was superb value for money. We arrived late, to an extremely warm, friendly welcome. We asked if we could buy some biscuits and were given complimentary Kit-Kat /Twix by the very pleasant receptionist, together with a newspaper. The room was spacious with a good bathroom and, as others have noted, immaculately clean. (Members may like to note there are no shower caps or tissues.) I really liked the good lighting for reading. So many hotels have low, gloomy lighting. There is a full sized ironing board and iron and plenty of hangers for a short stay.
We thought breakfast was excellent. We were expecting very little at the price we had paid but there was a good selection of hot food ~ bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans and egg. Lots of fruit, cereals, muffins, croissants and toast. The orange juice was good and although there are machines for tea and coffee the tea bags are good quality and we thought it was fine.
The only criticism I had was that the corridors and rooms are cold, although with the heating on it soon warmed up; I would have appreciated an extra blanket in the room though. This chain is claerly competing with the likes of Premier Inn, and it does so very well. We would happily return!
