“One of the Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

I stayed at this Premier Inn, without knowing the area too well for the Lewes Fireworks. I came with my at the time, new partner. When we turned up there was plenty of parking, reception was very friendly, and then the room.

Well, immaculatly clean, the bathroom was lovely, everything was perfect, although I was a bit shocked trying to turn the lights on the first time, you have to insert your card!! But I worked it out.

The bed was comfy, the restaurant brilliant, and had a excellent stay there. Will be there again this year for fireworks, and will keep returning!

“Their new refurbished rooms are great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

This hotel is in the process of refurbishing the bedrooms...about half are done...and are very good. No air con but heating was fine. Busy Harvester next door so car parking is also busy too.

Good breakfast in Harvester in the morning.

Good value for money for overnight stay. I will be using this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for a newly refurbished room.

“Great Staff, good price and now benefiting from refurb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Stayed for 2 nights and aside from the normal premier inn excellent beds and breakfast found the hotel to be in an extremely quiet spot yet very close to everything around the area. Ideal for going to Brighton but without the hassle parking and much cheaper. The staff were brilliant, all the staff in hotel had a smile and a warm welcome, the restaurant staff at breakfast were the same and would do anything to help. Hotel is currently getting a refurb so the room had a nice new large TV although not much good if you like lots of channels as only a few basic ones some of which didn't work. Had 2 great nights sleep in an ideal spot for exploring the area (by car, no good by foot from here).

“Over crowded restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Arrived on Saturday to find the Inn was very clean and comfy including the lovely bed. A little stuffy and hot in the room but managed to be tolerable after opening a window. A bit of noise heard Saturday evening from the pub guests leaving. Decided to have dinner at the restaurant which was a big mistake - should have opted for Macdonalds instead. We had to wait about 30 mins for a seat to eat then had to wait a further 30 mins for our quite pricey food to arrive! Also being squashed into a tiny table with a baby is not very accomodating. Sunday breakfast was a complete nightmare with over crowding of other guests coupled with the newhaven locals getting their breakfast. I lost count of the many bumps and trodding on feet to get to the food and drink. By the time I reach my table to settle down to eat, our food was stone cold. Not a good start to what appeared to be a promising break away.

“Very clean even though the builders were doing renovations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

We have stayed here numerous times and now request a room at the rear as the departing pub guests do make a din on a weekend. Always very clean, this time there were renovations taking place and this did not detract from the clean freshness of the inn. beware of the so called restaurant.

Room Tip: Rooms out the back very good although summer bird noise could wake you early
